Our Delicious Story
Barbecue as we know it is meat cooked over a grill or pit, topped with spices and a basting sauce native to the Caribbean. The word barbacoa comes from the language of a Caribbean Indian tribe called Taíno. Their word for grilling on a raised wooden platform is barbecue.
